(Butler, PA)The ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) Training Institute will be holding a two-day active shooter response training instructor course at BC3 on March 10th and 11th, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The course will take place in the Public Safety Building, 107 College Drive, Butler, PA 16002, room 202. The cost is $595 per person and anyone interested can register online.

This two-day instructor training course is intended to teach law enforcement as well as school, church, hospital, and workplace administrators/employees skills and strategies that will assist between the time a violent event begins and law enforcement arrives.

Participants in the training course will become knowledgeable in statistics and information about active shooter situations and why ALICE is effective. They will also learn the difference between the liability of proactive vs. passive response strategies. While learning the differences between proactive vs. passive response, participants will also experience live scenario drills. Every participant will learn the strategies and be provided with materials to become an effective ALICE Instructor in their own organization.

ALICE (Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate) is a set of proactive, options-based strategies that increase chances of survival during a violent intruder or active shooter event. For the last 14 years, the ALICE Training Institute has provided response training to individuals and organizations across the nation.
