香港 - Media OutReach - 2021年12月29日 - 很多日常生活用品,都会因为电子或机械零件老化、软件故障或环境因素等等,而出现可靠性和安全性问题,简单的可能是电线短路,严重的却可能导致严重的后果,例如机械过热导致火警等。有见及此,香港理工大学 (理大) 及美国马里兰大学帕克分校 (UMD) 携手合作设立研发实验室 ─ 产品可靠性暨系统安全研发中心 (CAiRS),汇聚全球顶尖科研人员,装置了最先进的仪器设备,配合创新人工智能技术,以进行各项产品可靠性和系统安全研究,务求准确预测故障发生,防患于未然。

 

理大联同美国马里兰大学(UMD)共同设立 产品可靠性暨系统安全研发中心 (CAiRS) 揉合AI及创新技术提升产品安全及系统可靠性

CAiRS 早前获选进驻由香港特区政府的旗舰项目「InnoHK创新香港研发平台」,并正就五个范畴展开研究,包括异常检测与症状监测、产品健康管理的创新诊断、剩余使用期限预测、安全保障︰提升功能安全性,以及数据可靠性,共十五个项目。这些项目应用范围非常广泛,包括机械人、医疗器材、车辆、电讯、消费品、公共事业、运输、微电子、电力装置、传感器、物联网产品及其他与先进制造相关的范畴。CAiRS并已与二十八家本地知名企业签定合作协议,共同研究提升产品和系统的可靠及安全。

 

理大一直因应业界及社会需要,进行跨学科研究,当中涉及工程,科学及前沿技术。CAiRS 汇集了理大工程学院及UMD超过二十位学者专家,加上UMD在产品可靠性的卓越研究基础,及业界的支持,将就智能城市及先进制造两大方面作出贡献。
