香港 - Media OutReach - 2022526- 新冠病毒疫情持续两年多,快速准确的抗体检测方法,除了有助检测人体的抗体含量之外,亦可为相关卫生部门提供参考数据,以制订合适的疫苗接种措施。长远而言,抗体水平数据对流行病学分析及疫苗研发方面亦有一定帮助。有见及此,香港理工大学(理大)应用物理学系研究团队利用有机电化学晶体管技术(OECT),成功研发了一款超灵敏便携式新冠病毒抗体检测仪,此检测仪具备操作简易及检测快速的优点,适用于测试接种疫苗后或感染病毒后的抗体水平。1.jpg

目前测试人体是否存有新冠病毒「免疫球蛋白G抗体(IgG)」,需要到医院或专业的检测机构抽取血清样本,使用大型医疗设备以酶联免疫法(ELISA)测试抗体浓度,由测试到取得结果,需时大约两天,且检测成本高。至于另一种以侧流式免疫测定法(LFIA)的抗体快速诊断方案,其灵敏度则较低,不能测量抗体含量的水平。2.jpg
理大研究团队所研发的新冠病毒抗体检测仪则具有高灵敏度、便携、快速、操作简易及低成本多项优点。
理大研究团队所研发的新冠病毒抗体检测仪则具有高灵敏度、便携、快速、操作简易及低成本多项优点。检测程序非常简单,首先启动检测仪,将检测仪与手机应用程序透过蓝牙连接,将10uL唾液(亦可使用血清)样本滴在检测仪的晶体管测试区,让抗体与抗原产生反应,五分钟后将唾液样本吸走,再将电解质滴在测试区。在手机应用程序上按键开始检测,大约20秒后,手机应用程序便会显示唾液样本的抗体水平。使用此抗体检测仪的整个检测过程,需时少于六分钟,每次检测成本亦仅约港币十元。抗体检测仪可检测抗体的浓度范围由低于10fM至高于100nM,足以覆盖人体唾液内的抗体水平,合乎对唾液的精细分析所需的灵敏度。负责是次研究项目的理大应用物理学系教授严锋教授表示:「是项研究利用崭新技术在晶体管的闸极施加电压脉冲,可加速『免疫球蛋白G抗体』与抗原的反应作用,大大减少整个检测程序所需的时间,而且过程属非入侵性,即只需唾液而无需抽血,可发展为自行采样的检测模式。此外,检测仪只需配合手机进行操作及查阅结果,十分简单方便,适合需要进行实时检测及大量筛查工作的场景使用。」研究团队的下一步计划是申请研究资助,以进行临床研究,届时将与不同的医疗及检测机构合作。团队期望是次研究成果可尽快推出市场,以及将此崭新的检测仪应用于检测其他病毒的抗体,为对抗不同疾病,以及对流行病学分析及疫苗研发方面作出贡献 #理大
