Revolutionary interactive resource, sample management library for interior design professionals features products from 200 leading manufacturers
Chicago -- PaletteApp™, the industry-leading online, interactive resource and sample management library now offers more than 250,000 products from nearly 200 leading product manufacturers. More than 15,000 new products are being added each month.
“PaletteApp is a revolutionary platform that allows design professionals to select product, order samples and create specifications in significantly less time than using binders from a traditional physical materials library,” said Jerry Freeman, founder and CEO of PaletteApp. “With PaletteApp, designers and architects have hundreds of thousands of product resources at their fingertips.”
PaletteApp was created to change the decades-old, inefficient and resource-intensive process in which interior designers, architects and product manufacturers managed samples. Traditionally, carpet, wallpaper, fabric, paint and other manufacturers sent physical sample books to interior designers to consider using in their projects, which resulted in massive quantities of materials occupying precious real estate in design firms across the country. PaletteApp digitized this process and now the design industry is able to select, order, deliver and manage sample inventory thru a digital catalog.
“In general, the A&D industry is being consumed by the concept of trying to do more with less; less time, less staff, less money, less everything. Good news in this game is hard to find, and then along comes PaletteApp. PaletteApp is expressly designed to help my team spend more time doing the design work that really matters, and less time finding and ordering samples, and making material binders. We all knew that somehow technology would make us more productive, we just never expected that it would come in a form like PaletteApp This platform is seriously good,” said Kevin Lynch, associate vice president and interior design director for HDR, Inc., a leading architectural, engineering, and consulting firm that uses PaletteApp.
Palettes are stored in a library and can be shared or referenced for reordering product, or as templates for future projects. This process creates material time savings of approximately 30business days annually for designers and product specifiers.
“At Wilsonart, we are impressed with PaletteApp’s features, and we’re excited about the ability to move away from the wasteful and resource-intensive traditional physical sampling system. Product manufacturers in our industry spend millions of dollars on traditional product sample vehicles. Now, with PaletteApp, we are able to save money while also reducing our overall carbon footprint,” said Rob Lisenbe, channel marketing manager for Wilsonart.
PaletteApp’s original web-based application geared toward design professionals debuted in 2012. The suite of PaletteApp products has grown to include PaletteApp Rep, an application designed to help product manufacturer sales representatives with sample and project management, and PaletteApp Student which allows design students to learn about products, order samples, and build project palettes, while also providing design schools the most up-to-date resource library, and PaletteApp Project Binder, which allows architects, designers and general contractors to download all product information documents, such as specifications, warranties, installation information and MSDS from a palette on the site with the click of a button. A process that typically required 26-30 hours now takes just a couple of minutes with the PaletteApp Project Binder.
