Locally-Based EdgeMarc Energy Establishes BC3 Scholarship - Strong Public-Private Partnership Focused on Training Region’s Energy Workforce

Butler, Pa. – The Butler County Community College (BC3) Education Foundation, Inc. is pleased to announce a gift of $8,000 from (EdgeMarc Energy Holdings, LLC) to establish the EdgeMarc Natural Gas/Science and Technology Scholarship. This scholarship will support students interested in pursuing careers in energy production, technology and related fields.

“On behalf of BC3, I applaud EdgeMarc's ongoing commitment to the education of Butler County's students,” said BC3 energy consultant Bill Lucas.

Eight (8) $1,000 scholarships will be awarded to BC3 freshman from Moniteau, Karns City or Butler Senior High School who are enrolled in the Energy Technology Certificate Program or Natural Sciences and Technology Programs. Students are encouraged to apply immediately online, as scholarship awards are applicable for fall 2015: www.bc3.edu/financialaid/scholarship-application-form-2015.asp.
