The Murfreesboro farm targeted in an undercover investigation is pushing back against The Humane Society of the United States' allegations that walking horses at the stable were intentionally being abused to produce a higher step.

ThorSport Farm owner Duke Thorson disputes the Humane Society's report released Tuesday and had the three walking horses mentioned in it examined by veterinarians, according to a ThorSport farm statement issued Wednesday. Three independent veterinary equine specialists declared the horses healthy with no signs of soring, the statement said. The horses are not owned by the stable.

“The expert opinion is unanimous and clear – none of the horses identified by HSUS was found to have any sign whatsoever of soring,” Thorson said in the statement.
